Oh just to add as far as the Madeira islands go the most famous person of Madeiran ancestry that represents their phenotype would be the soccer player Ronaldo.
If you are curious to see some typical phenotypes of Azoreans there are some well known people in the North America that are of 100% Azorean ancestry.
1. Nelly Furtado(singer)
2. Steve Perry(former lead singer of Journey his mother was born 30 minutes from where I was I'm sure we are related haven't researched it however)
3. Meredith Vierra(Journalist game show host from who wants to be a millionaire)

Is that the reality as well?
For the most part most of the Azores have rolling hills. Pico is very hilly and rocky with the Pico mountain on a clear day you can view 5 islands . Sao Jorge has some steep cliffs with unique topography with cows all over the place.

Fajã de São João has a nice mountainside! Impressive! Mount Pico is interesting as well, volcano! Tallest in the Atlantic as well, it says. Thanks for the links.
