Ariete, I LOVE those photos. What I really like is that they're photos of every day life, not something meant for a tourist brochure or website. Keep 'em coming! In fact, should we start a thread on "everyday life where we live" in the world section of the forum? I'm thinking so!
Oddly, the Photo threads on the weather forum are a bit like that, since the posters are all over. The focus is a bit more on natural landscapes, especially related to the seasonal changes, rather than architecture and urbanscapes but there's plenty of just "photos of my local area". Give it a check, some photos are very good.
I've been there. I stay at a friends in Putney, but we've been to that part of London.. That crossing is the reason why,lol
We even have fun. The local children recording in the same studio the Beatles recorded most of their songs. The boy at the front in black and yellow hoops lives in my block:
In Romania they have a comprehensive mainly electrified railway network. Many trains have to run slowly because the lines are not maintained. The people have all bought cars and ignore public transport. This dream of personal transport which gives image. This happened in the 1950s in the UK to a degree, but then the UK did not have an electrified rail network. Then we realised cars were stupid, and turned back to rail. Maybe they should learn from us and value what they have.
You all definitely lucked out. Getting rid of the rails and building more and more highways is always a huge mistake.
The garden..
It is clearly not some boring white box.
The local shopping street:
The local crossing. You may recognise it..
Love this! It's so alive!
