Maybe not Russia, but Ukraine is very much in Europe, in fact the continent's largest country by landmass in terms of nations that are 100% in Europe.

East Slavs (Russian, Ukrainians, Belorussians) - are Europeans. Whether you like it or not.

Ukrainians and Cossacks have a history of conflict going back centuries; it is well understood Ukraine has a fear of a resurgent Cossack identity, thus claims to historical Cossack lands. Ukrainians were the spearhead in persecution of the Cossacks after the Russian civil war. Just the thought of being able to do this caused numerous Ukrainians to align with the Soviets.

There are two versions of what happened.
1. The plane accidentally
knocked off rebels confused with the cargo plane Ukrainian army.
2. This is
a provocation for the purpose of accuse Russia and to impose new
sanctions.
But the main question: why send a civilian plane over a war
zone?
And so it starts and we now the pundits and people and ahave more work now to excavate truth. It will be interesting to see how this abject story develops in the context of what has been 'going down' in the area.

Yes, even Russia is part of Europe. I meant to write EU. People here don't generally care of wars nearby just like we didn't really care about the war in Yugoslavia. We don't have the guts to interfere and we are too divided on everything.

Even Turkey is part of Europe,at least an European-wanna-be lol.

Russia is more European than Asian if you ask me.Most parts of its tragic history happened in Europe, most of its population is in Europe, and Russians definitely look much more European than Asian.

What you mean to say is Eastern Europe.

So this thread is pointless.

As usual, some blasted thing happens in Europe, I wonder what reformation in ideals and beliefs will occur after a war if it were to happen.
