There won't be a widening war in Europe... just a prolonged, increased isolation and mistrust of Russia. Who knows what the intentions of the Russian government are at this point. They're a loose cannon on the world stage.

They're so desperate for strategic connections now that they're cozying up to Cuba again after a long distancing period. Ridiculous. Would you want Castro supporting you? In this day and age? Insanity.

I don't believe Russia had anything to do with taking the plane down. It wouldn't have benefitted Putin in any way to do that.

It would benefit others though....

No, that's the way Russians in Ukraine/Southern Russian regions are usually talking. ( And so do Ukrainians when they speak Russian.)
Another thing - I've read the rebel's site long enough to know that the alias "Grek" ( the "Greek") identifying one of the militants in this video is a real thing.

Seems it is Kiev people talking about a plane getting shot down, to them it does not seem military, they thought it was an AN-26 shot down at first. They accusing one of Strelkov's divisions of shooting it down, saying "Cossacks" did it.
That's the part that quite honestly surprises me. Strelnikov and "cossacks" are not one and the same thing; in fact he is constantly talking about their absence of discipline and resistance to military orders.
I don't quite understand why would cossacks ( out of all people) would end up in charge of BUK (if indeed they really had one in operational condition and that's really the weapon that has stricken down the Malaysian airplane.)
In any case it's a tragedy and I don't understand ( in the same manner as people in this video) who and why would still let the civil airplanes fly over the war zone.

Yea, and Russia with its thousands of nukes would nuke back...your point? Or just here to troll?

Did you have the same reaction when Ukraine shot down a passenger jet in 2001?

Yes, but this word in the negotiations on the application of the rebels sophisticated weaponry looks very strange and funny for Russians.

I do not think that the war will be because of the downed plane. If the rebels did it, it was an accident (a mistake).

War can only start, if the West is brought down the plane to be able to attack Russia. In this case, in the near future the White House must make an important statement.

But we should not rule out the infighting in Ukraine. The new president has no power over the oligarchs. Some troops subordinate to the President (Poroshenko), part of the army obeys the oligarchs (they sponsor the army). Downed aircraft may be part of the struggle within the government of Ukraine. I hope, the investigation will be able to establish the cause.
