After watching many nationalities, it all comes to class and money. Rich people usually dress with discrete technical clothing, lots of goratex, brands that are not famous or real brands, concluding, except for russians they don't like to stand out...many dress using the "hobo preppy" or combining very expensive clothing with carrefour (walmart) cloting.
The rest, just incredible, just "chavish" looks...I mean, you can buy cheap good looking clothes, but they don't...they buy those idiotic clothes you mention on your post.

yeah I am a bit flashy, though I dont like to look like a Russian (with the excessive make up, tons of fashion brands to show and so on)"tacky and new money" Italians are also a big like that with their shinny cloths and glasses!!!
Though I was always very interested in fashion, I have a lot of books about Gucci, prada, channel, carolina herrera.... I also design cloths but I am not that great mostly just for my own! I am fashion conscious though I am far from rich (I wish!)
