Every map I look at places Slovenia, Poland, Czech Republic, and Hungary into Eastern Europe.
Maybe those maps are just old.

In Slovakia, at least, the only correct (and used term) seems to be "Central Europe". I never hear about "Eastern Europe" in reference to our country (in Slovak). I'm not sure about the use in English, but Wikipedia has "Central Europe".

I think poles have more in common with western europeans
poles: latin alphabet, catholic culture, western values.... closer to western europeans than they to their orthodox, Cyrillic writing eastern mindset russian neighbors.... have u been to poland?

I have never perceived Poles as friendly to me people to give em any regard.

so basically the world should be labelled according to how you perceive the world to be? not how the world perceives itself
