I don't know if the suicide rate in finland is particularly high or not, but suicides are certainly correlated to depression, and depression has been shown to be affected by cold, damp climates...
What has Finland done to some posters here that they just have to bring up how Russian or how suicidal or how depressing it is every now and then? It's confusing.
It's just revenge for some threads Americans found to be offensive.
I can tell you feel angry and I am not looking to have an emotional argument. The use of antidepressants for instance in Nordic countries is the highest on the planet.

Actually we had a high suicide rate in the early 90's when we experienced a terrible economic depression, but since then the rate has steadily dropped to the European average.
