I actually do not care if you are paler than I am, which I doubt. However, I always wished that I could tan anyway. C. Farrell is probably a thousand times better-looking than you are. Do you know how many people buy fake tans? He'll get much more girls than you ever will, so if I were you I wouldn't make fun of him. We have already discussed that Colin Farrell is skin type III, and is not your typical Irish person with their pasty white skin. The skin type associated with the most freckles is type I, too. This doesn't mean all person with skin type have freckles either.

You do not need to freckle. The skin of people of the British Isles has become whiter over the centuries to absorb more UVs in the cloudy maritime climate.

Well she is an Australian of Anglo-Celtic descent. I would not be surprised that there are Icelandic women who might look like her. Icelandic people do have some ancestry which originates from the British Isles as well or perhaps you say this because of her "Nordic" blonde hair.

What nonsense is a "Nazi complexion"? Does that mean that you a blond version of Adolf Hitler? I played rugby and football (American) for a very long time as well. What is your point? By the way, by you having platinum-blonde hair means nothing, you could be skin type III as most Icelanders are. Sorry, but facts are facts, both the ethnic Irish and British people are overall, the fairest-skinned Europeans since they have on average lower tanning abilities than continental Europeans (Scandinavians included). Using Collin Farrel doesn't change scientific facts. Scandinavians, Icelanders and we could say Estonians are overall the fairest-haired.
For example Swedish athlete Carolina Kluft has platinum blonde hair but tans well.

An advantage of living on an island near the artic circle, very bad weather cloudy, cold wet, no sun (which I love because I grew up with it and am very pale) which to others is not good weather but very very bad weather

I grew up in Southern California, and if you remember the map I posted earlier in this thread comparing relative hours of sunlight yearly in the US versus Europe....Southern Cal is part of the region that gets the MOST sunlight of all.
God, how I HATED that.
I burn easily so the sun is not my friend, even if the rest of my wacky family all prefer hot weather. In fact, I hate the sun completely...having fair skin, light eyes, and mydriatic pupils all contribute to my sensitivity to sunlight. I will wear shades when most people won't.
Anyway, sometimes you grow up somewhere only to find that later in your life, your goal is to live in a climate COMPLETELY opposite to it.
This is why we're moving to Anchorage, Alaska in June.

Oh well think a little bit, it won't hurt. A good number of very fair-skinned or very light-complexioned people have freckles, especially red-heads as myself. However there are also people with brown or dark hair who have freckles. Both the MC1R and the IRF4 genes are associated with very fair skin, freckling and increased sensitivity to UV light. Both genes are commonest amongst ethnic British and Irish populations.
IRF4 gene linked to the combination of brown/dark hair, blue eyes and a freckled complexion. It has been called by Icelandic scientists as the Irish phenotype, since that's where it is most common. It is also found in the Icelandic, as well as other European populations.
Blonde hair is also found in high frequency amongst the ethnic Estonians who are related to the Finnish people. However, there is Germanic blood which came with the Swedes, Teutonic knights, Swedes again.
The mutation of the combination of blonde/light/fair hair and blue eyes, most likely arose in the Baltic region, before spreading northwards into Scandinavia and then elsewhere in Northern and Central Europe.

American football is a ***** version of rugby. this Irish guy is quit dark but he is not Irish right. no more than 40% of British isles carries the gene for red hair. there are also other red hair genes and they only affect hair the same way blonde hair does. the gene for blonde that we know of only affects hair but I have a broken mc1r gene which is on the 16 chromosome and everybody has it the difference is if it is mutated. gingers have a mutated gene which makes it a disease technically because you have a mutated gene but many gingers have brown or hazel which makes up 50% of the eye color of gingers and many scientists agree that the mc1r gene only really affects hair, skin and freckles. I have a broken mc1r gene which causes me have to blonde hair ( no eumelanin, and no pheomelanin) same chromosome different affects.

Bjork is our darkest person and I have never seen someone like that here. Collin Farrell has dark skin and she doesn't but yea we know that she is of norse and saami while were all norse and celt but mostly celt.
