This is priceless.... a bunch of europeans asking a mexican (Cloxias) how europe is divided!!!
Is he Mexican?
I thought he was the "Saxon" one, but what puzzles me is the fact that it's quite clear that he has never set foot in the continent. Reminds me of Karl May, he wrote almost 100 adventure novels from a German jail.
First, ethnic Italians aren't Germanics at all, and they're probably as much as Celts just like ethnic Spaniards. Therefore, Lombardy, Sud-Tirol, Piedmont, Veneto and other similar areas in the northern part of the country are Italian as the Spanish Basque Country, Cantabria, Navarre and Rioja are Spaniard.
Second, in some cases more Western than Spain... Hm, more Western, than Spain... Sorry, I guess you have to explain yourself better in that one.
I did not just say Italians are Germanic and I did say that they are Celtic also which they are who in turn are more like the French Gaulish Celtic, remember Gaul was also in parts of Northern Italy.
Lombardy, Sud-Tirol, Friuli are Germanic while Piedmont, Liguria are Celtic/Gaulish for example.
Spanish Basque Country is partly Spanish only because of Spanish immigration (which it is not fully Basque), Cantabria is more disputed whether it is Iberian or not, Navarre is more Basque than Iberian, and Rioja is more like Aragon, only Western Iberia and the coasts of Northern Spain have some Western European influence while the rest of Spain does not sorry but it is too Mediterranean.
Your definition of western seems to be organized, depressing, boring, sterile, over-ruled countries (After visiting both Spain is more fun than Italy, but it approaches the concept of western much more than spain
compare spain's cities with italian cities.... the order, cleanliness, open mindedness, of the spaniard cities (Barcelona, Madrid, Bilbao, Valencia) is much more evident than the chaos, backwards, catholic worshipping italian cities (Palermo, Bari, Napoli, Rome)!
Yes Spain is in some sense is more a touristy than Italy just because of its beaches but still Italy is more richer and powerful today due to its ancient history such as the Roman empire, The Renaissance , famous buildings like the Coliseum, Pisa and foods such as Pizzas, Risottos, Pastas etc.
My definition of Western is perfect, it is just that you cannot stand the fact that I did not include Spain instead of Italy, Spain is more like more dangerous than fun compared to Italy which is more civilized and stable, the reason it is more Western than Spain.

Do not listen to these folks they are just getting wrong ideas of whom they do not know about.
I have been on a lot of different continents than none, sorry
I look rather more Saxon or Celtic than like a Mexican, Iberian or Arab.
