Blue Ridge in Georgia/Carolinas reminds me of Asturias...when there are no towns or people.
Except for kudzu and weird critters such as coons and 'opossums, very similar.
Places is California with Med weather, if you remove urbanizaion and people.

I was just there in 2014.

When you are in SPAIN or GERMANY, they have many dense small towns with houses in very close proximity. In Sweden, and apparently Finland as well, the houses are very spread out on large plots of land, and are very spread out from each other, much like the U.S.

I realize that everywhere in the world, with have that to a degree. But it really stands out in contrast when comparing Scandinavia with other parts of Europe in regards to small towns.

Maybe easier to explain it in a picture.

The first one is before the land reform with six farmhouses and the second after it:

Most of Europe didn't see this. This is why the farmhouses are more spread out.

I think the Willamette Valley is a lot like France, and Sonoma/Napa County is like Tuscany. North Dakota is like Ukraine, and Minnesota is like Sweden. The UP of Michigan is like Finland.

Climate wise, southern Oregon and northern California is like Spain.
I would like to know what state have lots of roundabout everywhere. If so, this one may feel similar to Europe in terms of roads design.

I can't think of anywhere in the U.S. with many roundabouts. Washington DC itself comes to mind, but you have to be driving around within the city limits for it, you don't see it anywhere else in that region.

No state has many roundabouts. There are only about 4000 in the entire USA.

Why would any state, other than Vermont or Massachusetts, want to copy the corrupt and class-conscious Europe which most of our ancestors struggled to escape?

Why would Vermont want to copy "class conscious" Europe? It's a rural place where people make maple syrup for a living and has laxer gun laws than Arizona.

parts of southern Colorado and northern New Mexico: rural southern Spain (a region with a high share of Non-Latino people of Spanish origin)
parts of northern Vermont and Maine: rural northern France- rural Wallonia
Some eastern cities like Boston or Philadelphia, even parts of NYC may resemble British cities due to architecture.
