Are Ã…rhus & Odense worth it? I have 3 possible days in Denmark....should I spend it all in Copenhagen, or try to see another city as well?

Ã…rhus is the 2nd biggest city, and therefore the more attractive of them (as I like the larger city anyways). Odense is much closer.

A third possibility is Malmo, but I'm thinking it's so close it could just be a half-day without even thinking much of it.

I think I could only afford 3 days, but if I were to put Denmark into 4 possible days, does that change things a bit, as to your answer/suggestions?

Not much to see in Odense unless you are really interested H.C. Andersen.

Ã…rhus is definitely worth a visit. It is an old viking city with a lot of history, which is evident in the city architecture. There are also several museums of which, ARoS is probably the most prominent. I haven't visited it yet, but I plan to next time I am in Ã…rhus. Furthermore Ã…rhus is a university city, so the average age of the population is very low, meaning it is a fine city for a night out drinking.

It is kind of a smaller version of Copenhagen. Some would probably claim that it is just a tad more cozy as well because of the more laid back mentality of the Jutes. I don't know about that, though.

That said, I think It would be pretty easy to spent 3 to 4 days in Copenhagen without running out of things to see or experience.

Ã…rhus certainly seems worth it then! I'd love to see another Danish city, and this seems like it might be the best place. Looks like it is around 200 miles between Ã…rhus & CPHN...I guess that's like 3-4 hours by bus or train?

3 hours in train, 4 hours in bus (give or take). Public transport in Denmark is expensive though. 300 DKR or ~ 40 euros.

I've been to Ã…rhus just once, but it is a great city. And good sightseeing too travelling trough Denmark. The scenerey is breathtaking. It's just like Southern Finland! Just the same crap, but with less trees and no lakes! Boring monotonous.

not worth it. but if you insist, you should try helsingborg. it's the best small city in sweden imo. and it's not much further away than århus for example.

^ I agree.

Tiger, if you're going to visit Helsingør (Elsinore) which a lot of tourists do, you should definitely consider taking the ferry to Helsingborg.

Well Malmo is worth a visit. I believe you can spend a day there instead of half a day.

I recommend a stay in Helsingor, too. Quiet, but pretty, nice park along the water, great for walking. Could be a nice change to the hustle-bustle of Copenhagen.
