There should be a "The Interview" type movie about Russia and Putin but with better jokes.

The Russian Ministry of Culture should really look into banning Dr. Zhivago too.

There is some real depressing Russian scenes there too.

Banned the movie rental in theaters. The film's producers have not received the money. Silly, of course. Russians has pirate sites with free movies. All wishing to download a movie and watch it there.

Exactly! That`s what going to happen. Everybody and their grandmother is going to want to see it now.

Even got me interested. Seems like a nice plot.

Are we sure Putin doesn`t have shares in the movie company?

Movie company will not receive a penny from Russia, because the movie rental is banned.

Suddenly the thing becomes more interesting.

Seems like someone high in the Russian government got their job not because of their competence.
There is no point, I don't agree with these bannings. I was just saying that it probably won't have a huge effect on most people.

If for example a popular video game got banned that would probably be more controversial in Russia. The GTA game got banned in Australia if I am not mistaken. Isn't that strange for such a progressive and forward-thinking country?

Banned because of the possibility to buy sex in the game. After a patch was released to prevent this in-game function, it was allowed. (Ridiculous still.)

Still, quite a different thing comparing with banning things like civil rights, human rights, rights of opinion and so on.

How is it, if you and me go hand in hand on a street in Saint Petersburg holding plaques showing an opinion, are we a demonstrating crowd and the HOMO will come beat us down? Or do we need Maxim Frolov to become a crowd?

I would ban all US movies all together, 99.9% of them are made for morons anyway.
