If France left, would this also mean that the hosts wouldn't randomly start speaking some useless phrases of French for no apparent reason? If so, then France should be thrown out.

Despite all the problems, Finns and Russians love each other. And reason is not fear, but in a very similar character features. Although Finns diligently pretend that they do not have any relation to Russians.
I dont know from where you dig your theories but this is not a case.
Finns dont love or fear russians as an nation but one thing is for sure: We dont turn our back to you on any cases and reason for that you can find from your "Relation" history.

Germans are not precisely popular right now and Eurovision is political, group of neigbouring countries that swap votes. It was nice before the deluge of "new countries".
German is unpopular? Where? UK?
Russia is unpopular and still they were given votes from almost all of the countries, new and old.
