actually, I think communism worked great on islam in central asia. It practically neutered it. Jihadis would be killed instantly. You can't have 2 competing forms of propaganda.

If she is from Lebanon originally, she surely knows the devastating effect of Islam. Just read up on the history of Lebanon...
So, accusing her of being anti-Islam is actually a kind of compliment, not an attack.

She would have come across as more credible, though, if she had also listed all the innocent people the US have killed. The numbers she states are also dubious. She comes across as a bit of a radical nationalist Tea Party kind of person...

If you read the history of Lebanon...you'll see that the four or five religions there have done their bit. Maronites, Shiites, Druse...not to mention European occupation.

But what caused all the recent civil wars was the irruption of refugees from a neighbouring country forcedully settled by Europeans.

As to considering all brown people hispanic, no wonder people with that frame of mind commit such flops in international wars. They should give them proper education before allowing them to join armies.

Lebanon will never recover from its demographic shift. It used to be majority Christian, now it is majority Muslim, with all the consequences.

I won't consider Druse as muslims, as the the Shiite, they are another sect hard to classify..and there are more.

The problem in Lebanon started when millions of Palestinians, many Christians, were expelled from their country and ended in Lebanon and Jordania. Such irruption provoked wars in the two countries.

To such an scenario, you have to add financing received by different armies from many countries, US, USSR, Iran, UE...

Religion is just secondary, or tertiary.

The main problems come from decolonizaton, France should have divided Lebanon and Syria according to tribes. The UK should not have signed the Balfour declaration and should have stopped the invasion of Palestina and should have divided Irak.

Really, the scenario is too complex and religion is just one of the many ingredients.

This appears to be the core problem ... Other people sticking their nose in to other people's business. Western countries cause the grassroots problems while trying to use the nation and they play like saints later when these country's have problems. People need to fight their own battles. Western countries also have their own internal issues they neglect to manage well. Hello Canada what is going on with the aboriginal population? Europe what is going on with the Roma population? America .... You have a black present and you still have police and the justice system mustreating and murdering blacks and getting away with it. The rest of the world is seeing this and you can't hide that well because of technology.
