Well there are many children from Syrian who after the European bombardments in the country have lost their homes, parents, arms, legs, some have been burnt brutally and so on.
for those who actually feel like a human being, and want to help syrian children you can volunteer, donate old cloths, even go to a camp in your country and volunteer teaching them!
Why is it the Western world's responsibility? They can go to other Arab countries. The problem is that a certain percentage of these refugees are terrorists. I'm not going to get blown up in a pool of my own blood trying to rescue the world.

Because Europe doing whatever America tells it to do has bombed the crap out of syria.... just throwing it out there.

I think you'll find that between them, ISIS and Assad have "bombed the crap" out of more Syrian civilians than Europe has.
I appreciate you believe foreign cultures can be absorbed no matter how alien, that we can feed and heal the world, and that there is no limit to the immigration Europe can absorb, but I don't agree. And neither do the majority.

What is the world going to do about it?
There is a vast difference between taking in young children who can be adopted into loving homes and armies of young men who have mixed feelings about becoming members of European society. Same thing with the elderly or the disabled.

Syria is in the middle of a civil war. Neither side is good. Just so happens that Obama threw his support on the side of the ISIS terrorist. There are plenty of Muslim countries nearby those refugees can go to but they head west to Europe and North America. It's more likely those injured children you see were injured by fighting between Assad's troops and the Syrian Rebels including ISIS.
