We are in 2015, and america is far more obsessed by race than Europe. Just look at any internet board and its americans who talk about race over and over, and about peoples looks and stuff like that, that europeans could care less about. I have been to the US as holidays and noticed the media and many people were obsessed bringing race into every subject, Germany is not like this, people barely notice race in everyday's life, and if there is some mixed feelings about muslims is because of their culture/religion and not because of their physical appearance, in fact most arabs/turks are caucasian, just of non european variety and they are less exotic than black or asian people (from a german perspective) but still noticeable foreign. If race is so important in europe (and specifically in germany) then Why so many of those more exotic looking groups are better integrated that muslims (mostly arabian populations) in Germany and other european countries? your logic makes nonsense. The ones who mention the word "white", "white-man" and "white america" all the time are Americans, not europeans who identify mostly with nationality, language and culture, not with race. Your posts here are an alive proof of how some americans are completely lost into the race subject and have some weird obsession/fetish with race and "racial traits" as if we were analizing some object and not a person... Census in europe never included the world "white" but a breakdown of nationalities, america on the other hand always use the term white, non-hispanic white, black, latino, mixed-race, etc as a static for every thing.

How are they not considered, every ethnicity is listed in census, and a country such as a france goes further from that and forbid to list census based on race to avoid discrimination? what does america? .. Ohh I forgot.. there is a form to fill your race even to use a public toilet...

No, do you have English language problems? The term "Anglo" was to differentiate between Northern to Southern Europeans!! Spaniards are obviously Whites, they're definitely not Black! Nevertheless, the term "Anglo" is not used anymore as it used to be, thus archaic! So get over it.
The term Anglo is NEW, very recent.
The term Anglo is more related to language.
The term Anglo includes a barrage of people, including North-Africans, Arabs and Gypsies.
Before there were the Wasps, and they do still remain in some rural areas.
The term WASP was more religious than anything else, as the term excluded Catholic Germans, Catholic Swiss, Austrians and many others because they were Catholics.
Hispanics, except those that were obviously black or amerindians, were considered white and not included in Jim Crow laws.
The fact that Hispanics are considered a minority is recent, as recent as 1980, and it was a political move to reap the benefits achieved by blacks. Just a political move.
The Equal Rights Law was/is a disaster that brought more problems and was similar to those laws in the UK that have created a large mass of difranchised people, most are British.
Anglos have no relation whatsoever with ancient Angles.
