Not only that, if a woman defends herself using pepper spray, it's the woman who gets in trouble. It's already happened in Denmark.

Danish teen fought off her attacker - now she'll face fine - The Local

"The teenager told police that she was attacked in central Sønderborg on Wednesday at around 10pm by an English-speaking man in dark clothing. She said the man knocked her to the ground and then unbuttoned her pants and attempted to undress her.

The girl was able to save herself from further assault by using pepper spray on the attacker, but now she may be the one who ends up in legal trouble.

“It is illegal to possess and use pepper spray, so she will likely be charged for that,” local police spokesman Knud Kirsten told TV Syd.

The case has sparked a backlash among some Danes who point to increasing reports of sexual harassment in Sønderborg and other Danish cities at the same time that police say they are stretched too thin to properly carry out their duties. "

Thanks for posting this

I am fully armed and I rather face jail time for self defence than become raped. As injustice it is. And Europe thinks it is educated and civil... I cannot see it.

When women might get some justice in "civil" Europe?

I guess there was a case were a woman was nearly dead and they still did not give the full sentence.. So what is worth of full sentence then? What more could be done? Rape and kill the other family members and pets also?

Meanwhile in Cavemanland..
The justice system in Finland works in the way that the sentences given are averaged to what different district courts decide for the same punishment, to ensure equal treatment. In simplicity, if the Helsinki court sentences one to 6 years in jail, and the Rovaniemi court sentences to 2 years for the same offence, the treshold for a court is 4 years. That is the guideline for the judge, and he/she can either lower or higher it from that 4 years. Therefore the maximum sentence can never be reached, unless they are on the opposite scale of the system; like always fine or always life imprisonment.

Why the rape sentences are ridiculous is for this reason. As the sentences are on the lower scale of the possible, the average is also very low. The averaging system is not a problem itself, but that the courts regularly give sentences on the lower scale. This has been under much scrutiny in the society, as people don't think that sentences for rape, aggravated assault and other similar crime is justice enough. Especially when we have the first-time offender rule, that he/she gets out serving half of the sentence.

Most of Europe don't have a "stand-your-ground" legislation, so the use of excessive force is prohibited. As pepper spray isn't legal in Denmark, of course she has to be punished for using an illegal weapon.

Self defence is legal. The use of excessive force isn't. If you are threatened of being raped you can punch the idiot in his/her face and escape, but you cannot use an illegal weapon or kill the perpetrator. That is quite clear to me.

But most men are stronger than women. On top of that, we are now seeing gang sexual assaults and gang rapes.

How is a woman meant to defend herself?

??? Ariete, yes, it is legal to say No! to a rapist.. They tend to believe... Really a woman against a rapist fight, really equal height, weight, physics and backround as girls tend to wrestle and fight with their friends just like guys and everyone knows how to hit?... Muscle strenght on women whos hobbies are hair braids, shopping and choosing todays nail polish color equal with guys. If a woman who is not on boxing classes, tries to bunch, do you think a guy would even sway?

This

6 guys against a one woman, a woman should just beat them up? Sure, any day , I am siamese ronda rousey

I am not saying a woman should not fight against, I am saying the chances are quite small for her... Even those women who train a lot has hard time to fight against a guy who does not do any extra training.
