Here is my original thread a while ago. I live in US and tried to get potential hip surgery for her but US does not appear to be a good option at all looking at article in second link. From reading from the the second link, it appears Belgium has a good choice in terms of cost and quality. I am just posting here what else Europian countries are good for operations like this?
She had it once when she is young, and anoher one about 10 years ago, but my siblings chose a bad hospital in China and did a wrong job, not to say all hospital in China is bad, just there are bad ones out there). Now being to led at least comfortable job and salary for now, I am potentially taking over this issue for myself but US is just out of option.
I know several women who went to Belgium for various medical reasons. One had surgery (not hip surgery, though), several in my town went there because Belgium has a reputation for having outstanding thyroid specialists. I wonder if the reason Belgium is chosen has something to do with medical service or hospitals and surgeons being more affordable than in neighboring countries.
Lots of Dutch people go to Belgium for surgery because of the endless waiting lists in Holland. While in Holland you have to wait like 3-6 months for surgery, in Belgium its often a matter of days. The quality is very good. Even dutch health insurance cover the costs when we go to Belgium.
A good friend of ours had several surgeries in Belgium on her shoulder and elbow en she spoke highly of the Belgian hospitals, quality and care.

Try Russian hospitals, Saint Petersburg or Moscow - outstanding health care at a fraction of US cost.

I know Switzerland have assisted suicide, that is euthanasia is legal - hopefully that would help someone who's planning "suicide tourism". I won't trust them too much for anything though, including homicide lol...given the stories I've heard about racism/xenophobia in Switzerland.
So my take guess will be somewhere in Central Europe: Czechia, Hungary, Slovakia. You'd get high quality on low prices and in Euros.
