Some of Le Pen's voters were blue-collar workers who had voted for Communists or one of the other radical left parties in the past.

Well, France still has the parliamentary election to go with not one MP (being a new party). The parliament could make things really difficult for Macron. Remember he got less than 25% in the first round which means the parliament could be close to a four way split between communists, nationalists, republicans and Macron.
