It's quite comprehensible that every drone attack will cause that more people feel attracted by hatemongers. Violence breeds more violence. Something that many Americans doesn't seem to understand, including Trump.
Somebody should have sat Neville Chamberlain down and told him the same thing.
Yes, exactly. But many if not most Americans think the reason why they spend so much for defence is that they have to protect Europe, how absurd.
I've never met a single American who thinks this. Not even the most reactionary of them all has ever said something so bizarre. This is the first place I've ever seen it, read it or heard it.
The examples I mentioned aren't the only members boosting their defence.
Why? We are all on the same boat.
Uh not quite Ariete.
See, you are a European leftie, and the the US are not all THAT left, not any more ( not that it EVER were for real, unlike Europe for long time.)
American RIGHT ( which is what America originally REALLY was) was suppressed for quite some time, since they HAD to play nicely and to present a much better picture than the life in the ultra-left country, such as a big bad Soviet Union. And while the hands of American right wing have been tied up by dem Commie Russians, YOU the Europeans had the best of both worlds at our expense.
Not any longer. Since American Democrats decided to throw us under the bus ("us" meaning all the Russians that were looking forward to replacement of the Soviet system with something better,) Russia now turned ultra-right, and so will America in couple of days.
So watch what's coming now.
Does anyone notice how other Western countries are often too scared to disagree with America?
Russians are sure aware of it.

It's hard to argue with the ones that hold the financial power over you, but as I've said things are changing - the rusty wheel of history is turning ( and soon will be spinning out of control I'm sure))))
Frankly, it all just looks like posturing and I don't think he'll follow through... There are already hints for that, for instance the appointment of James Mattis...

You are right, wanting better relations with a former foe is a good thing. But at what price? Thing is, I don't think the whole "being nice to Putin" will ultimately lead to a better relationship. The geopolitical and economic goals of each country are conflicting each other in several points and Trump makes himself look like a fool abroad by appeasing the populist crowd at home.
He's essentially giving the finger to traditional allies and business partners for the slight chance of having better relations with Russia.
Right now, Putin is more than happy to have someone like Trump as the next President. I am afraid, though, that those expecting mutually beneficial deals between the US and Russia will get disappointed.
