PvdA.
Many people with a foreign background vote for this party, Amsterdam is full of them.

The far North (Groningen) is actually one of the richest provinces in the Netherlands, it has the largest natural gas field in Europe.

Sixteen million population in the Netherlands and about 6% Muslim. And they are really holding the non-Muslim population in thrall to their reign of terror?

I guess it's the religious confession. I know that Noord-Brabant, Limburg and parts of Gelderland are predominantly catholic. Those tend to vote more likely for a conservative party. I guess that Groningen, Drenthe, Friesland are strongly protestant. Those tend to vote more likely for progressive parties. Normally protestants are far less conservative than catholics. But there are surely exceptions from this rule. As far as I know the Netherlands has some weird and deeply religious people from evangelical reformed churches.

In Germany it's absolutely the same. Historically protestants vote for the leftists or progressive SPD. Catholics vote for the right or conservative CDU. The importance of the confession for the election decision is waning. But the strongholds for the parties still exist.

You can expand the political party map from the Netherlands beyond the border into Germany. Ostfriesland is one of the strongest SPD strongholds in Germany. Just a few km south of it, you will find a stronghold of the CDU:

Federal election 2005:

Aurich - Emden:
-SPD: 55.9%
-CDU: 24.9%

Cloppenburg - Vechta:
-SPD: 25.3%
-CDU 57.2%

It's just the religious confession that makes the difference.

Time to throw Turkey out of NATO, lock up Erdogan, expand Armenia and give the Kurdish their land.
