What makes me wonder is that the snow line in mountains seems to be quite low. The thing is that in photos done in summer in Alps there is still snow on mountains but when I was in summer in Caucasus I saw almost now snow (or saw less) there although Caucasus in general is higher than Alps.
In the Alps there is snow in Summer only at the top of the highest peaks, near 4000 meters high. Sometimes it is not rare to not having enough snow to ski in winter... that is why mane resorts use snow cannons...

It also depends a lot on the sun exposure, on the shadow side of mountains show can resist also at lower altitudes.

Also, the lack of snow during the winter (in particular in ski resort at altitude around 1500-2000 m of altitude) is more likely to be attributed to scarse precipitation in general more than to the high temperature. For example in here two years ago it didn't snow nor rain until January and the ski season was delayed a lot, while last year we had really intense snow on the mountain at the end of November and we had a fantastic season ski-wise. This year seems promising too.
