Thank you! Surprisingly I looked at rental cars for a few days in london and its cheap! I just hope I can manage the roads. How is parking in downtown london? Do you need coins or a card?
We will be driving to the Tank museum .. looks like its about 3 hours. Im hoping it will not be hard . I drove in Germany and Austria and it was easy! Everyone in Germany drove safe and great! Even in the mountains!
It's expensive to park in London, indeed you probably won't need a car in Central London as it's much cheaper to just use Uber or even the vast public transport network.
There are parking phone apps though, such as this one which will help you.

For what it's worth, my wife was in both Latvia and Lithuania, and liked Lithuania a lot better than Latvia. As I mentioned in my other post, Kaunas is her favorite city in Europe.
Curious about Kaunas, as my whole family is originally from there. There's no family there anymore (and parents gone now) so no information. What is special about it?

My wife is from Kaunas. Her family lives there and her grandparents own a huge piece of land and a farm. So we go there every couple years. The city has the traditional eastern european/russian traditional architecture look to it . We usually stay there a few days and then head to palanga. Food is good, however her grandma does all the cooking. Theres some good historical spots there also. We also go fishing. We usually go to Palanga though, that area is very nice.

Might as well take the ferry from Lubeck to Liepaja, avoid all those plesky places that don't start with L.
