For that matter, we are all Africans where the Last Common Ancestor for all Homo Sapiens originated. What happened in-between is still hotly debated. But migration and re-settlement from 2-8 million years up to yesterday has always played an important role in our genetic makeup.

There is more recent information that Neanderthal genes may have a disposition for certain physiological, psychological, and whatnot on modern humans, more so than previously thought: https://www.the-scientist.com/?artic...hsmi=59676247/

The local I met seemed to have an unfavorable view of Turkish, even though we ate at a Turkish restaurant twice. I think most of it comes from the fact that they're part of the Islamic community, Germans seem fairly non-religious.

Turkish isn't an Indo-Euro language, but the Turkish people are predominantly Indo-Euro, and Armenians are Indo-Euros, too. I was posting in response to someone who said the Turkish people are white.

A lot of Turks are secular as well. However the most outspoken and the biggest media attention are focused on the devout Turkish Muslims.
