How many recycling bins are available in your city or town?
Recycling for a greener environment must be common in all European countries, but I guess there still some differences.
These are all the recycling bins located at a recycling centre located 100 metres away from home:
From left to right:
Blue recycling box is for paper, magazines, catalogues, etc.
The small orange one is for wasted olive oil we Spaniard often use for cooking. We must put it in closed plastic bottles
The light green recycling box is for usable clothes, shoes and training shoes.
The dark green one is for glass an empty bottles.
The yellow ones are for aerosols, plastics drinks, plastic toiletry bottles, etc.
Finally, the light gray one is for junk food.
Thus, every supermarket and shopping centre has small bins for batteries.
Bins for small electrical items are not located in every street, but in other recycling centres, mainly in big shopping centres or in industrial states.
For garden waste, grass and small branches, we must put it in plastic bags once per week (every Thuesday) at the front of our house, and the council remove it for free.
