If Romania doesn't work out for you Montenegro might. I've been reading up on the property market there and it seems, as long as you buy in the right area, the market is going from strength to strength.
I'm thinking of buying a place over there to have somewhere near the coastline. Plenty of cheap purchases around and you can get residence through it too.
Yes, Brasov is nice. Also check out Sinaia, in the same general area. It's a quaint ski resort town, and it has the palace of the last King of Romania, who lived there part-time until he passed away a little over a year ago. You can visit the Palace grounds, and part of the main building is a museum. I love Sinaia.
So, a new update: we went for investor visas in Romania and all the papers are in progress and we also found the properties we will buy [Mod cut: ad]
Actually, I am surprised about how smooth things went with all the documentation. Romanians are very friendly with foreigners and in special if you are a person of color. They are very funny to watch how they are looking at you )

Where did you choose to buy? And congrats, btw. Let us know how you like it, after you get settled in.
Are you moved in yet? How do you like it? Thank you for the update!
