The face of Soviet dictator Joseph Stalin will adorn bottles of a soft drink to go on sale next month in Russia, the Komsomolskaya Pravda newspaper reported on Wednesday.

The Stalin drinks are part of a special batch of beverages being released to mark the 67th anniversary of the Soviet victory in the World War II battle of Stalingrad, the daily said, citing the company producing them.

that is strange, as Stalin was more responsible for more people being killed than Hitler. Anyway what would happen if there was a soft drink from Germany with the label Hitler with Hitlers face on it?

I doubt if that could happen. Germany has a ban on using Nazi era symbols (faces, uniforms or emblems) in a manner that promotes or glorifies them. Such a product would never make it to a distributor or store shelf.

Exactly - not only is it illegal to produce such a product but no one would buy it and the outrage would be incredible. But Stalin - the world was never really educated in what a monster he was. Still, that's no excuse for the Russians.
