First post- just to say that in my little corner of the country there isn't much partying. There's a lot of shouting and swearing however (like right now just under my window), but that has nothing to do with the thread, so...
Been to Spain one time when I was little, remember it pretty well, was fun, people seemed much more "lively" than in my city. Don't know if that help answer the OP question...
Haven't been to Italy, Portugal etc so cannot say anything.
Just my 2cents.
