No. I am 5'6. I dont look like I'm 118 lbs though. Most people guess I'm around 130. Tomorrow I will weigh myself. Hopefully I will have gained over 118 though.

well, its something you just have to get used to. maybe work on your pick up artist techniques between sets. i always preferred going to the gym instead of working out at home. just felt more like i was out and about doing stuff and seeing things. if anyone bothers me i just grunt or flash a double bicep pose and they walk away. i dont really do that. the worst thing is when its busy or people who stand on top of you waiting for the equipment you are using.

If fitness is important, you will incorporate it into your life and get over little pet peeves. Get up early and hit the gym before work. At every gym I have been to, the early mornings are usually pretty light on the crowd.

Also, get a better understanding of how to train. Sure, there are times when I want to use a piece of equipment, but it is already being used. I just find another exercise to work the same body part in the same manner. For example, you want to do barbell bench, but all of the stations are in use, do dumb bell bench press. If you want to do squats and the squat rack is in use, try goblet squats.

Saying you hate the gym and can't go for XYZ reason is just an excuse for not going. Either you want to improve yourself or you don't. If the music bothers you, get better earphones and use your own MP3 player. I just go to the gym with the iPod on and ear phones in. No one bothers me at all.

I've been working out at the gym for 18 years. I work full time and have 3 year old twins, and I still manage to make it to the gym 3 days a week and do my cardio at least 4 days a week.

Learn to be flexible... life isn't all about you all the time. And I always find that the gym is overcrowded right after work, so I do my workouts at lunch time. Then there's no problem getting on equipment.

I hate the gym also, all of those hairy, macho guys and pretty girls who get mad if you stare at them.........much prefer to work out at home.

I live in an apartment and have no trouble working out with free weights. I just put down a bunch of mats on the ground and am really careful about not banging/dropping any weights.

Well, I only have a 4 x 8 foot space for any workout equipment that I would buy. That's a VERY small space, and I am having trouble finding anything that will fit in that small of a space. But I'm working on it.
