No exercises during winters. I become very lazy during winters and do not do any exercises right now. But during summers I go for a 5 KM walk everyday.
I haven't posted in a while but I'm still working out. I tried TRX out this week and man, I am still reeling from the pain! Also did bootcamp right after it and woo man, still hurting. Today will be a day off!!! Have a good weekend everyone!
Today I lifted some 2.5kg (each) free weights 100x's, it's not a lot so I'm going to try to do some sit ups and more free weights when my kids go to sleep.
I completely oranganised and sorted kids toys and clothes, guessing by the sheer amount there was I'm thinking I got a good workout by doing this.
This is a great thread, I'm going to have to visit it regularly, I'm sure I'll get some good inspiration from everyone here!
I tried an Insanity workout w/a friend today and I was sweatin' pretty good. Now I know what all the hype is about, but I can't definitively say that it's my "cup of tea"..

I'm so curious about Insanity..even though the price is ridiculous, is it worth getting?

If you are looking to improve cardio performance, and/or are bored of your current workout(s) then I say YES. The upfront cost may be discouraging, but the rewards you'll reap after several months will be worth it. You can do the workouts at home and unless you're a super-athlete, it's practically guaranteed you'll get a good sweat out of it (esp if you try to keep up w/the fit folks on TV). Just remember that no workout regimen is worth dedicating to unless you are complementing it w/proper nutrition.
Bottom line: Yes, there ARE other options available and this program does not fit everyone's individual needs/goals, but for the majority of those who are attempting to get in shape (or back into shape), it'll do.
I joined a local bicycle team that is going to ride in the AIDS LifeCycle ride this year, a 545 mile bike ride over seven days from San Francisco to Santa Monica. Today was the second time I rode with the team, the first day was with just three of them on a short ride around 20 miles. Today there were seven of us, one young man of 20, one at 26, two in their late 20's, a man of 46, a woman of 50 and me at 52. We did a 54 mile round trip in about 4 hours, we took breaks often and waited for one slower bicyclist to catch up, the only one who had not been riding a lot of hours. I loved it and look forward to the next group ride
