I had to go to the bank today, but that was the only reason I had to go uptown. I debated wether to take my bike, my truck or run. It had been raining pretty steady for the past 24 hours and was in a lull. I decided to put on my running shoes and run the mile to the bank, do my business, run another mile north, back down and across for a 4 mile run. I beat the beginning of sprinkles by just minutes. It has been raining steady since. Supposed to rain heavy tonight and tomorrow, so may do morning aerobics tomorrow instead.
So far: half hour yoga, half hour walking/light jog (and will probably go back out - started raining and was too cold for my lungs), 60 crunches, 20 push ups
Hiked Shaw Butte this morning. 2.6mi RT, ~750ft elev change. There were a lot of people carrying full backpacks. Some of them jogging no less. Apparently there was some kind of event going on.
What with the record breaking March rain we are getting here, it was difficult to get out today. I thought I had a chance to get out on my bike, changed into my bike shorts, got my gear ready and it started raining. So I ate a late breakfast and the sun came out again. By the time I was ready, the clouds came back, I said the heck with it, put on my running shoes and took off, it rained on me at least three times, but the sun came out about as many. Got in three miles and hope to get a few more later walking my dog.
Been raining all week long, but the rain stayed away today for our bike ride. We did a loop that totaled 56.95 miles across farm land and up several steep hills going and reverse. There were 8 of us today, I being the oldest at 52 and the youngest is 20. We stopped along the way and I set my cameras self timer to get us with a waterfall as a backdrop.
The eight of us: Bryan, me Martin, Peter, Anthony, Debi, Michael, Maria and Daniel. Bryan is the youngest.
I wanted to try a CF workout, so some friends and I went online to lookup WODs and decided to do "Fran". I scored 6:25. It was much harder than I anticipated
