Nothing is more pleasurable to me than having one of my kids showing interest in exercising because of me. Last summer, my eldest daughter was home for the summer from college, and she wanted to work out with me. So, three times a week, we went to the park across the street where I taught her a martial arts routine that she could do anywhere. The admiration and respect that she has for me is nearly as much as I have for her.
My son asked me for a weightlifting routine, so I gave him a pretty detailed workout pattern to follow. I told him that if he watched his diet, he could get pretty ripped. He's been following the program and he is starting to see results. This has done a great deal for his self-confidence.
My youngest is not into fitness just yet, but she watches me when I work out, so I know her time is coming.
