i dont think thats the actual definition of bulking. if its your goal then thats great, you definitely made progress. but i think when someone wants to bulk, they want to end up weighing more than they started. if i did what you did, id think of it as getting more cut/lean while maintaining my mass.

Yeah, but most people that 'weight more than they started'... could put on 10 lbs of fat, and 0 lean mass.

How is that in any way, bulking? No strength gain what so ever. No change in appearance, other than looking fat.

haha yeah thats why most people dont really like bulking. a bodybuilder will pack on tons of pounds of fat, water and muscle then cut down and be bigger than when they started. its not really a route most people want to go down.

Yeah that always seemed like a bad idea. Is it really necessary to add all that fat? I think it would be easier to lower the calories a little and just gain at a slower rate and not get so much fat and water weight.

i think what a bodybuilder does, especially a heavyweight, is different than what any normal person would do or want to do. the time they take to grow and then to cut is a pretty fast process and the diet is strict along with the pharmaceuticals they are taking. so i think it may be best for them, but not for 99.9% of everyone else.

The point I was trying to make with all this, is that I grew more lean mass in one month(no 'gear')than your average body builder (average bro in the gym), does with 'bulking', without having to cut.

Congrats buddy, I just have a few questions.

What brand of amino acids do you take? Why did you change to that instead of protein? Did you do any type of cardio? What do you think your major cause of fat loss was? Was it your diet, or your intense sets with minimal rest in between?

I took Scivation, because it was the cheapest. BCAA's are not cheap! Didn't have any protein powder or supplement, but that would have been nice.

I did a lot of box jumps to sprint variations. I did a few days of hill sprints. I didn't do much cardio....

I think the major cause was working out twice a day with the change in diet.

I really did 'try' hard to do this and I was really flexible. But the main cut out was the post workout shakes.
