100 % people who talk on their cell phone. I don't get it. You are at the gym to work out! I don't want to hear about your boyfriend who didn't call you three times last night like he promised.

I also cannot stand people who are unaware of their surrounding. They stop in the middle of the doorway walking into the gym or start texting in front of a machine you have been waiting for

Funny. I prefer to work out at home. When I do go to a gym part of what I want is to learn new things.

So I distract myself. Look at different equipment. Ask about it. Watch people use it. Ask how to use it if I can't figure it out.

One of my number one pet peeves is the men at the gym who think you should stick with "barbie weights."

I am only recently working out, but I have always been fairly strong. I could change the 5 gallon water bottle by myself at age 9 or so. So 2# weights really never worked for me.

Today I was at the gym, searching for the right barbell. There was some annoying guy standing in front of the rack doing curls. I was trying to look around him to see if I could find a good size for my workout. He pointed to the smallest one with the "use that one look."

I grabbed the 60# one he was using as soon as he finished. If I was doing my regular workout, I would have grabbed the 80# one. But I was doing more reps today for endurance.

texting and cell phone use... I see people, particularly women, do it while outside jogging and biking too... addiction to socialization basically. I can't stand people who can't go an hour without some sort of social stimulation, much less having to open up the phone to check for texts every 5 minutes during a movie at a theater.

There is one I work with that mostly went to the health club to socialize, and not work out. Probably show off her thin body too in her tight clothing. So next time some guy checks you out, remember that some women go into these places purposely to provoke that response. If you don't want guys staring, don't look so hot.

Some of those people messing around with their cell phones might actually be tracking their workouts.

I track my weight workouts using an app on my phone. To me it's much easier to do that rather than carry around a pen and paper.

Its not really a distraction but more of a annoyance. I hate when people just stand around and talk forever. I go to the gym to workout and think to myself, I don't want to talk to anyone.

Yes, but I'd bet my entire collection of yoga videos that you're considerate enough not to lollygag on the equipment while you're doing so, or stand in the middle of the aisles or doorways.

Yep. There were these two guys that were talking next to me while I was doing dumbbell presses. "...ya and I went out with his girlfriend and couldn't get hold of him because he was f'ng sleeping!"

And watched the same guy struggling to carry back two 50 lb dumbbells. Made my back hurt just watching him.

Sexy women in leggings distract me while im working out, but I cant complain
I'm pretty focused in the gym - turn the Ipod on and then down to business. The only thing that gets my attention when I'm working out is the spandex!

Since I work out in the Park twice a week as well (as part of a bootcamp group), I'd like to add tourists who take pictures or videos of you sweating your a$s off in the summer heat. C'mon!

I'm sure there's more... just can't think of them of the top of my head.
Um, women who them that men are looking at them, think we're staring at them, or just give off an paranoid vibe... we're looking at your friend...
