I have the same reasons for attending the gym instead of working out at home as well.

Here's my gym vent:

People who put their stuff in lockers and don't lock it. Here I am ready to go occupy a locker, and someone's stuff is already in it! You tell me you can afford the $90 a month membership, but you can't afford to buy a lock for $5 to keep your stuff secure??!! People like this probably are dumb enough to wonder why their things get stolen also. There have been times I was tempted to take their stuff out of the locker and put it on the bench, I swear.

I guess I have a hard time understanding why that one would bother. I do that all the time. If you want to steal my ratty jeans, have at it.

If all you're putting in is jeans, who cares.

I'm talking the women's locker rooms, where I've seen coats, purses, and everything else stuffed in the locker. At least have the courtesy to lock it if you're going to use up a locker. If you want to leave it unguarded like that, then you may as well toss it on top of the lockers, jmo.

In the future I would just ask the guy if you could 'work in'. Especially if he had been there for that long. I so understand the venting! Especially when you have such limited time to work out!!

Agreed. I lock mine, solely because I sometimes leave items I don't want stolen, so it is a habit.
