My time in my prime in high school was 7:10something.

I was in excellent shape, but I was a sprinter. My 40 yard dash was definitely in the 4's, though I wasn't terribly big, and didn't care for football or track. I played baseball. Go figure.

The last time I ran a mile was when I was trying to get back into shape. It was around 11mins. Lol.

Needless to say I don't like running, I'd rather walk/hike or ride a bike.

I would say your treadmill mile time means almost nothing when comparing it to running outside. Running outside is more than just the physical ability it is the ability to pace yourself for the best possible time. You don't know what your fastest time is because you were not controlling your own pace.

When you are on the treadmill you are not developing that skill in fact you might be sliding backwards in your ability to pace yourself.

And also there is no wind resistance on a treadmill.
