Milestone day for me. I've reached 3500 miles as of my 12.6 mile morning run without any injuries the entire year, and still have two weeks left before this year ends- one can only be so lucky.
I worked out with weights today my back and my biceps. Then I did Abs. Then I did 30 minutes on the Concept II rower, got off that and did 30 minutes on the Eliptical machine. This evening after I ate supper I went out for a 35 minute brisk walk. I exercise every day.
I'm thankful I worked out all thru my life. Now that I'm retired and living in a 55+ mobile home park in Florida. I see all these retirees, overweight and riding around in golf carts. No stamina at all. Believe me its the majority of them. Yet they call themselves active adults. I just want to puke, when I see how they let themselves go. So I go on my way, I'm so thankful I didn't allow myself to end up like that. Though it makes it very difficult to impossible, to find a peer group of likeminded people here. I could not live like these people do.
Always exercise even when you don't feel like it. It will most certainly help you thru your entire life.
Last night, just some sun salutations. I have a 40 minute yoga sequence tonight and I haven't decided if I"m going to do the elliptical or run later. I'm doing the NYC half and the Cape Cod Ragnar Relay in May, so I need to start kick up my running more and more!
