Did my usual thing - elliptical and treadmill yesterday. Changed up the order with my strength training, sore for some reason this week. I'm in a fitness slump that I can't explain...just not feeling as motivated as before. Maybe it's because I've been stuck at a lifting weight for about a month and want to progress. I can only manage 4-5 reps before failure. Maybe my expectations are too much. After all, I'm still a fitness beginner (about a year). Before that I was out of shape, 60+ lbs overweight, and sedentary so I really shouldn't beat myself up.
Working....inspected three (3) - 3 story houses, measured all the rooms, and the exteriors. Checked out the crawl space in two of them, looking for rotted beams/infestation. Walked their 2+ acre lots, and located their boundaries. At 77 yrs. old, not doing any "real" exercise today. As a woman, this is not a glamorous job, but enjoyable!
Ran 3 miles just under 9 min pace and that's not easy pace for me
Don't worry about the pace, as long as you're out there doing it. You're probably doing more physically than 90% of Americans just by getting out there.

Yeah it's just a combination of taking time off and the summer heat. Last year I had two 1/2 marathons just under 2 hours so the 9 min pace shouldn't be a problem but it's just a matter of getting more miles in.
