How about you guys/girls? I know rock climbers, gymnasts, military personnel, firemen, MMA, can pound them out like no tomorrow.
Many people in the military cannot even do one.

My record was 16 in a row when I weighed 175. Palms out, no breaks. I would do a set of 10, a set of 12, then a set until failure.

Now I'm 185 on a good day and not in as good of shape. I'm kinda doughy actually. I did 10 the other day after three warmup sets with a little weight assist. If I could get rid of this dang spare tire I bet I could break my record.

Most I did were 42 pull ups (supinated grip) no kipping of course(so pointless) and strict form

I do 6-10 sets of 20 reps.

I'm 5"10 160lbs, amateur boxer from the Bronx.

Isn't there a requirement to do at least 20 to be in the army? Or is that different?

As long as you are hanging on the bar no time limit. I'm talking about one set as many as you can before you fall off.

I could do at least 15 when I was younger. Now probably 2 or 3. I don't want to hurt my girls..

The Army just does push-ups, sit-ups and a 2-mile run. I can do 16 now, which is the most I've ever been able to do, but I'm a runner, so I don't focus on weight lifting. My upper body strength has jumped since I started eating egg whites, lean meat, and beans for breakfast everyday. I also do all my push-ups on my knuckles now and noticed a lot more definition on my chest and arms.
