Yes, by people fatter than me. "He's so skinny, he needs to put some meat/muscle on." I'm a normal size, I simply have a fast metabolism. Some of them on the other hand have noticeable gut.

I feel like his parents treat me like I should be losing weight faster or something. I talked to him last night about how it is bothering me and how I am sick of that. It's just mean. He says he will stop, but he says that each time I ask. Or he will criticize me if I don't work out on a day I am supposed to and it's like I have to explain why! during insanity, my knees would hurt so I'd do four days on, one day rest, four days on, one day rest instead of six days a week, one day of rest.
It sounds like he is very shallow. If he doesn't care about hurting your feelings, he's not worth it!

By the way, if an exercise is hurting your knees, it may not be good for you & you could be doing more harm than good. My brother is training me & I never feel pain after (accept for some muscle tiredness). You may want to consult with a professional. Good luck & keep your chin up!

For years I have been overweight. I would lose 20 - 25 lbs. and put it back on within 6 months. I really needed to lose 45 but that never happened. My mother in law made snarky remarks about my being overweight. About 20 months ago I totally changed the way I eat. I let my body lose what it wanted and in the last few months I have stablized my weight and I am within my normal weight range but not too far from the low end of normal. I feel wonderful and eat good sized meals....I just watch what I eat very carefully. Old friends who haven't seen me for a while say things like "Are you sick?" "Did you do this to yourself on purpose?".....and other similar things....usually these are people who need to lose some weight themselves. I guess some just feel compelled to make pointed remarks about the appearance of others whether they think you are too heavy or too thin.
