I hope to loose 12 pounds in 3 to 4 months by cutting calories and eating healthier foods and increasing exercise. The older I've gotten the harder it is.

weight loss plan started a few weeks too late (late feb.) but as of now i started at 272 and now weigh 255. really it has come down to two simple rules. 1.) i stopped drinking soda back in the spring of 2012 but drank A LOT of gatorade to make up for the lack of taste. for the last 5 weeks i've only had water with meals and drink a bottle a night before bed. 2.) calorie count has averaged between 1,500 - 2,000. i've also limited myself to fast food once a week normally on friday nights as kinda of a "reward" haha. exercise / activity has not changed just simple dietary rules. i don't exactly have a goal in mind except to keep this up as a lifetime change hopefully. in my experience if i have a weight loss final goal in mind i reach it then balloon back up. now i'm focused on just maintaining a healthy diet compared to what it use to be.

i should mention that getting off soda did NOT cause any weight loss. consuming gatorade other sports drinks and lots of milk filled in the gaps so to speak. switching to strictly water has made all the difference.

i had a small cup of mountain dew a year after i started my soda "detox" and almost got sick haha.
