True. And as I've thought about this I remember a pair of yoga pants when I was less aware...they were rather thin as I wore them more & more...had probably been giving people a show until I got wise & finally retired them
All of a sudden I'm really grateful all my spandex workout shorts/pants are black. I hadn't planned it that way; it is just the color Academy has in abundance

Some of the (guy) responses had me cracking up.
Yes, say something privately. I would be horrified if I found out later that I was the one putting on the show. That said, many (most?) of us do not wear underwear at the workouts. My expensive gym clothes are wicking...undies just stop the wicking. Of course, I am going to DOUBLE check the rear view tonight when I get ready to go to the gym though!!!
I am not sure if you should tell her. Yes, people who don't want to be on show want to be told, but I am quite sure they can figure it out by themselves. Maybe she likes it, or maybe she just doesn't care and believe the see through one is more comfortable. In my opinion you should mostly keep to yourself and not bother other people.
Hawaiian Coconut, no I assure you this happens quite frequently at the gym and these are not exhibitionist-type women. If they wanted to show skin, they'd be wearing booty shorts & sport bras. See-through pants are never attractive, just embarrassing.

I'm 48 years old and have had an active gym membership since I was fifteen. I've also been an aerobics instructor and a personal trainer as well as a STOTT pilates reformer instructor. I've been around a gym.
I have never seen anyone at the gym in see through pants.
Hon I have been a gym rat for over 30 years, and I have NEVER gone without undies. And I have never heard of a gal doing that at the gym! You need undies to absorb sweat and odor, and to prevent tacky displays of crotches and buns. Good LORD. Where did you people grow up, in a barn???
totally agree with you!
