Hi All-

I created a thread a few months ago "I NEED to Gain Weight!!!" so you can understand my dilemma of being TOO SKINNY!!! One thing I seem to notice is how CRAZY fast my metabolism is.. it's always been this way growing up Up until 2012, I was on the "thin" side.. 5'5 112 pounds.. but then life events happens where I lost weight due to stress after that and am now 5'5 99 pounds!! Since I lost the weight, I have been unable to gain the weight.. What I would do to be even 112 pounds again

I would go hardcore on bulking and just eating a crap load for a month and still gain maybe 2 pounds, IF THAT. It's just so hard for me and it gets tiring!!! So with so little result, I get discouraged, lazy, etc. to keep up

One thing I noticed while I was stuffing myself was.. no matter how much I ate, I would be hungry like 3 hours later.. which is probably normal for others like myself. But another thing I noticed is that when I eat and my body starts digesting, it creates A LOT of heat Especially at night time when I'm sleeping! I read somewhere that *some* people, like myself, instead of storing any extra calories as fat, the body converts all of it into energy/heat instead. Is this true??? Maybe that will give me some answers on why I can't gain weight?

Eat a lot of carbs and fat together at the same time, and make sure your caloric intake is well over what your body needs (there are calculations out there where you plug in your stats and get a ballpark estimate). I don't know how else to gain weight.

Eat a huge b-fast, like a big stack of pancakes smothered in maple syrup, 4 sides of bacon, a large orange juice. Then eat half a pizza for lunch. you get the idea. Eat like a fat american.

A pound of fat is ~3500 calories, to give you an idea of just how much excess energy you need to take in.

Building muscle mass is another way to gain weight. Hit the weights hard (yet not too frequently, a couple times a week) while eating a ton.

Do you know how many calories you were taking in then or now? I had a client with the same problem; would eat all day and not see any change. Turns out he ate 1600-1700 calories on his biggest day but usually be at 1400-1500
