Those women have great genes and good plastic surgeons. They are incredibly thin. They fit the ideal these days, they look like teenage boys with boobs. Most women could never look like that, even at 25.

There is a possible exception. If they make their living because of their looks and job one is maintaining that physique. And all women would look better if they had 40 hours a week to work out! But probably not as good as these women look!

Good point, OP. It's not too hard. You just have to get a good diet (lower carb, higher protein to support the building of lean muscle mass really makes for quick progress), and click into a discipline of gym-going 3x/week. Once you set your resolve, and do the program, you'll be surprised at how easy it is.

Or they're behind the times, and are clinging to old stereotypes of women.

This needs to be a sticky.

I find this hard to believe unless you work and only associate with some kind of fitness industry.

2/3 of americans are overweight and 1/3 are obese... But you're saying that "most the people you know" are not just thin, or health, but FIT on top of that?

Unless of course, you aren't from the U.S., which is the only way your post could hold true lol.

Very inspiring. But something looks fake. I am in my 30's so I think I should also try to be as fit as her in my late years. Modern females are very conscious about their health and fitness unlike the baby boomers . Health awareness is the most focal issue now a days people try to remain healthy and young and take care of their diet and take supplements.

This

I know there are plenty of over 40 people who are in great shape; I see them all the time at my gym, but it's a bit of a stretch to say that most Americans in any age bracket are generally in shape.

She has a hard face. Reminds em of a stripper or worn out party girl. I really dislike over the top breast implants. I can see their(implants) use in certain applications but these are porn worthy.

Oh well, at least no tats.

Might be economic. Where I live, the majority of women are in great shape. They run, workout, do yoga, play tennis, etc.. They're stay at home moms and have the time and means to be active. I'd say the majority of them are a bit nutty about their appearance.

We had some guys doing work on our yard and they asked my husband "Do any of these women work?" because all they saw were lots if women walking and running in the neighborhood.

If anything, the women are far more active/fitness minded then the men.

I was in my worst shape in High School, got a bit into shape when I went in to the Army Infantry in the mid 80´s. I was in my best shape from about 38 till 44. I got into climbing and running at 30 and started getting into shape. I climbed, ran, biked, raced sailboats, windsurfed... was never skinny and always had a few pounds extra but I am very strong. At 43 I ran my first and only marathon. I messed up my ankle in a climbing fall pretty bad, fell out of a crack but my foot stayed stuck in. Messed me up for running for a long time I still feel the affects but am running again a bit. Injury = getting Fat :-( got kind of out of climbing when my last partner was killed in an accident a few years ago- not climbing = getting fat :-(

But at 49 I am getting back to where I was. running 2 times a week, gym 2-3 times + biking, windsurfing, sailing (sailing a Finn is a hardcore workout when the wind is on.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BZ5wOFFjPpg ) Will start to get back to climbing when it warms up a bit. I doubt I will climb too hardcore but would like to do some long moderate routes in the mountains, maybe I will be soon old enough to start doing mountaineering. I have cut back on Alcohol and even try to eat half way healthy.

It seems most of the really fit people I know are over 40.
