Default Entry Level Triathlon

Any idea where to enter an Entry Level Triathlon? My buddy and I agree that if we enter something and pay in advance for it. We would then be motivated to work out every day. We do okay right now working out but we aren't really doing it for any type of goal, we are just doing it to do it. I want to work hard and accomplish something fun. Something that I thought I could never do. I figure a triathlon fits the bill.

Have you tried looking on runningintheusa.com? I use that site a lot to find different running races, but I know they also list triathlons and duathlons too.

You need to look for a "sprint" triathlon. I am thinking of doing one of these next year (doing distance running only this year). Sprints are how these shorter tris are classified, and they are generally a half mile swim, 15-20 mile bike and 3 mile - 5 mile runs.

go to active.com and search "sprint triathlons"

Check out active.com
They also list several competitions such as cycling, skating, running, swimming, etc. and you can register right on the site.
