There's a difference between supplementing with excess B12 for bodybuilding, and supplementing in order to correct a deficiency. Vegans and some vegetarians are especially vulnerable to B12 deficiency, because much of the food avoided by those diets are B12-rich. Not all of them need to supplement, but some do.

Personally, I was a strict ovo-vegetarian for 26 years, so my B12 has always been on the low side, so I took sublingual B12, which helped keep it at a normal level. However about 6 months ago, when I started working out more, and the deficiency got worse, to where I've been having some of the more severe neurological symptoms, like bouts of memory loss. Had a full work-up, and the supplement just isn't enough anymore, so I've started incorporating some B12-rich fish back into my diet.

My trainer once was trying to get me to do B12 shots so that it would massively stimulate my appetite and help with bulking up, but I wasn't willing to go to that level. I would imagine if you're supplementing with B12 you better be keeping a good diet journal or working out REALLY hard to burn off what you eat! lol.

I have some lab rats that might be experimenting with T3 supplementation soon. Will report results.

ALMOST EVERYONE should be taking Vitamin D.

I live in the sunniest state in the sunniest country in the world, I have very fair skin, and even I was wildly deficient.

After a year of using creatine I have gained about 7 pounds of muscle and my strength is up signigicantly in all lifts. This at age 53, and after being plateaued with little if any gains for a long time. Being injury free so that I could train consistantly was the main thing but no doubt creatine has helped a lot.

For the past 5-6 months I have been using hemp based protein powder instead of my tried and true Optimum Nutrition Whey. I have to say the results of the hemp compared to ON have been much poorer than expected. Will be switching back to ON whey very soon because it is just the best Ive ever tried.

Whey protein is far superior. You're making the right choice going back.

Yeah. I thought I'd try it because it because I received it as a gift from a woman who's husband and adult kids I teach martial arts to. She is a pretty popular yogi who is in FANTASTIC shape so I thought I'd give it a shot. Not good. Not good at all.

Multi-Vitamin
Green Tea Extract
Fish Oil

BCAA's
Creatine

My understanding of BCAA's is that one benefit is that it helps preserve muscle when in a caloric deficit. I use them before my workouts. YMMV.
