Thanks for all the resources, links and vids everyone.
I plan on grabbing the book Epson Exile mentioned since I'm at a loss of what to eat to build muscle. I mostly do some quasi paleo now and I hope I can still stay away from grains. BTW not only was that video informative...the speaker was very easy on the eyes...
p90x is not a total gimmick, i did the sean t25 home workout, what they don't tell you is the people in the videos that have amazing physiques , did multiple rounds of the program and some gym time and ate a extremely strict diet and supplementation . you won't jump off the couch do the 90 days and be ripped.
however it does work, i did two rounds of the 90 days lost about 45 pounds, and i still do them 5-6 days a week to stay lean and keep weight off, i feel lost without doing a workout.
t25 is more intervals and cardio, p90x is more weight and body weight resistance training. i find some of the moves in p90 to be challenging even to someone who is fit and works out regularly, i hurt my shoulder doing some crazy pushup hold oblique knee
Give up on any form of cardio, especially DVD courses like insanity and P90X
You should be lifting heavy and eating as much beef as you can. Wash down the beef with GOMAD - Gallon Of Milk A Day. Try Stronglifts or LeanGains for appropriate workout programs. AVOID dumbbell curls in the squat rack.
