Haha I hear ya man. Lots of people ask really dumb questions in fitness (exhibit A: reddit fitness forum) so it's hard to tell.

Many decent whey protein supplements you'll find on the shelf anywhere will give you a couple grams of creatine per scoop. If you make a couple protein shakes per day on a heavy workout day and maybe one on a light or off day it will eventually build up in your muscles over 2-3 weeks and you'll start to feel it's subtle positive effects. You won't necessarily see any huge increases in peak power in big lifts like squat or bench, but you'll definitely notice being able to do more reps with heavier weight before the muscles break down and fatigue.

Up to six pounds of added bodyweight in the first few weeks is commonly reported in those who begin creatine supplementation (a process primarily accounted for by water moving rapidly from the bloodstream to the muscle).

Actually, in my experience, it's pretty rare for protein supplements to have creatine mixed in. Sure, they are out there, but they're usually way overpriced for what they are. It would be far more economical to buy each in bulk and mix it on your own, plus you can better control the dosing of the creatine.

nah they're pretty cheap. Like $20 on sale for a 2 lb can for the stuff I get from Walgreens. You can of course buy them separate if you want higher creatine concentration. I used to do that back in the dizz-ay before they had the blended products. two scoops of the blended stuff gives 5g creatine and 60 grams of whey protein.

Why take these kinds of supplements if it has a lot of side effects? I suggest you should go the natural way, eat right foods, have a good sleep and go to the gym regularly.

What is unnatural about creatine? What are the side effects?
