We have doubles of free weights in 5-pound increments from 10 to 45 pounds on a double-tiered holder. Since we no longer have use for them, I would like to sell them. The question is, what is the best way to sell something like this? I am hoping that someone here has experience with buying or selling large exercise equipment. I've never sold via craigslist but am wondering if that's the only route. Any suggestions?
My apologies if this isn't the proper forum to ask this, but I wasn't sure where to post.
In my area there are a couple of stores called Play It Again Sports. They buy and sell used sports and fitness equipment.
You may want to do a yelp search for your area to see if there are used sporting goods stores near you. You generally don't get the same price you would on Craigslist - but it's a lot less hassle.

Thanks in advance for any advice!
Set them up on a rack near the street with a For Sale sign. On some streets, many will come by, who might be interested in them. This worked for a neighbor, who had a huge set of weights and bars, that sold within an hour. Weight disks are very expensive nowadays, when purchased new, so if they are at half that price, they should sell. They don't wear out, unless you let them get rusty.
Thanks to all for the great suggestions. Half the price of new sounds like a very good idea for asking price especially since they are in very good shape. Thanks again!
I'm not sure what large equipment means, but for Olympic weight plates (2" hole), going rate is about $0.50/lbs. Cheaper for standard weight plates (1" hole). Basically nothing for concrete weights. Weight trees (rack to hold weights) is usually about $20
That's for private sale on CL. You won't get that much in the store.
