Yeah, he clearly didn't work out his face or head nearly enough.
He's just got that typical big square head/broad face thing going on genetically. All I was saying is that if I saw a picture or video of him from the neck up, he'd still look chunky and overweight. Clearly nothing he can do about that, but good job on his body, though.

The guy is 141lbs. Tiny for a male. The average American female is 166lbs at 5'4. He's smaller than the majority of Americans!
Great props for him losing the fat. But he is small. Don't have his height but 141lbs is light for a male. It would be more impressive if he was 165lbs and ripped, but that's a lot harder to achieve.
I think most guys would be surprised at how small they'd get when they diet down to really lean levels.

I agree. A lot of guys think they are skinny/unhealthy at anything below say 200 lbs with a bit of a gut. However, if they actually tried to lift, eat right and get down to 10-12% body fat, they would probably weigh a healthier 150-170lbs.
And heck, according to BMI, a 6'0 person could weigh as little as 137lbs...so anything in the 140s or 150s is perfectly healthy unless you are 6'5+.
I never believe stuff like that. You don't go from fat to totally ripped within 6 months.
Sure you can. It's all about what you don't eat or drink.
Bill Phillips, who is a famous fitness expert, made millions for Make A Wish Foundation on his book, Body For Life which is about making a complete body transformation is twelve weeks.

I've done it in 12 weeks, after gaining a lot of weight due to illness and hormone imbalance. It's like they said earlier; cut out nearly all carbs, build lean muscle mass with protein, and working out, though 3 hrs. isn't necessary if you don't want to be a body-builder. You can lose all your excess fat and get lean and trim, though. I didn't use the "BodyForLife" program; I followed a book called "Protein Power", written by a couple of MD's.
inspirational - hope it stays off.....eating and light beer are my culprits, too. No fair about putting make-up on the body in the final photo-shoot, though.
He did five months of healthy eating, one month strict diet and one week super strict diet for the photo shoot.
Here's what they say about the photo shoot:
Quote:
The only extreme diet he did was the final month for the photo shoot. These photo shoots are common in Korea and it was important for Hugh to prove he could do it, and document it. After getting his weight down that low he had a week off (we went on a road trip) and he gained a few kilos, which he intended to do, and has now maintained a healthy but slim weight since.
Wow! What a jump from big bellied man to serial killer!
